UPDATE: I managed to fix this by converting from Legacy to UEFI (MBR2GPT), literally two commands and boom! Disabled CSM and made it UEFI only and now it's all good. Glad it wasn't something more serious lol. Thanks a lot for your help!

I have got a B450 Pro4 AsRock and Ryzen 2600.
Today I decided to update BIOs since it was very outdated (first ever released version) and was potentially causing me some issues with RAM. Anyhow, I did it in stages, as recommended. First from 1.30 (first release) to 1.80. Then 1.80 to 3.10. First two were fine. Then I decided to push it a bit more and go from 3.10 to 4.10 (there is a video on youtube with the exact same setup so I said why not). However the latest and last one is causing some screen flickering from the looks of it. It shows the AsRock logo, gets to the BIOs, however between BIOs and OS the screen flickers always 5 times exactly before it gets there. I have tried restarting PC many times and it's always the same, 5 quick flashes. It also flashes if I try to access UEFI (again, 5 times), but successfully gets there with no issues. Here is a video: https://streamable.com/5l604d (For the record, fast startup is off, I prefer it like that so I can access BIOs easier, that's irrelevant however). Should I be worried£ Other than that PC looks fine, no issues at all - everything normal. Would rolling back be a smart idea£ To 3.50£ I know anything after that was not recommended for my Ryzen 2600 Pinnacle, however I thought it would be fine because of that video. If rolling back to 3.50 is doable without any risks then I could go ahead. |

By the way, a user told me he had the same issue (flickering) and he said it got fixed after updating to 4.80.
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Amd/B450%20Pro4/#BIOS I see AsRock released a new BIOs version about a month ago and it gives no warnings how it's not compatible with a certain CPU, unlike 4.10 which basically was not recommended for my Ryzen 2600. Should I go ahead and update to that? |

![]() Those are the errors I get from event viewer. However I look the history now and I have been getting similar ones here and there since ever pretty much with no issues, including POST etc. I have got GTX 1050 Gigabyte Yeah, windows 10 is running just fine (so far at least), it's only the flickering at the start. I also tried to change RAM speed via XMP from 3000 to 2933 just for the record, still the same. |

Check event viewer for any errors other than DCOM ones .. you could run some stress tests to make sure all is stable. If windows is running just fine without crashing, etc .. then I wouldn't worry about it.
What video card are you running? If anything, update to the 4.20 BIOS |
