Have just done a fresh install of Wndows 10 Pro. Everything works apart from the sound.
Drivers I have tried- Win 10 built in Asrock driver disk Win 8 driver Asrock Win 10 driver Realtek Win 10 driver In each case device shows as installed in sound properties Playback Devices. A speaker test in Playback Devices properties shows sound playing. I have tried every Default Format setting. Have tried different speakers. Have tried plugging in to Front audio output. Any other ideas? |

It almost sounds like it is trying to use the digital output rather than speakers. Have you tried setting "speakers" as the default device? I take it you are using the sound test under the configure screen?
Did the drivers install the "Realtek HD Audio Manager" app? If so try tinkering with the settings in there too.

Thanks for quick reply.
Yes speakers are set as default device. Sound test is being done in configure screen. Realtek HD Audio Manager is installed. |
