I currently have a Z590 Extreme.
I've been having random reboots over the last few weeks and have finally narrowed it down to asrdrv104.sys This driver is for the RGB lighting on the mobo. This driver file is causing random reboots. 100% certain. If i turn on Microsoft's driver verification it fails every boot and points at this driver. This happens in a clean install of the OS with no other software. It takes time to happen, but will happen eventually under normal use. I also notice other issues with system hangs to browser errors. Once i remove it, the machine no longer has issues. Why is this not fixed? I can find posts that this driver has caused problems for many people. Its even listed on websites as an known exploitable file. Why is this not fixed? How is ASRock this lax about a known issue such as this? I would gladly return my mobo at this point if i could. |
