Hello,
I have got the Asrock Aqua Z490 MB and i upgradet to the 11700K. Now i bought a new SSD M2 -> XPG Gammix S70 Blade 2 TB and mounted it to the M2_1 Slot (nearest to the CPU) I ve got another M2 (pcie 3.0) in the M2_3 slot too... i already updated all drivers and flashed to the newest bios (2.12A) my problem is the new SSD only get the speed from pcie 3.0 and crystaldiskinfo showes only pcie 3.0 x4 so the question is how can it be enable pcie 4.0 on my mb that asrock offers on there advertising? I meet all conditions for pcie 4.0 so i dont understand... plz help ty |

Hi Krampus,
Thank you for your email. There are two M.2 slots under the first M.2 heat sink. One is RKL_M2, another one is M2_1. Please install your SSD at RKL_M2 to get the PCIE 4.0 support. Also, you can check our manual to know the detailed place of the RKL_M2 slot. https://download.asrock.com/Manual/Z490%20AQUA.pdf All the best ASRock TSD |
