Hello,
CSM, Compatibility Support Module, is for compatibility with legacy hardware. An RX570 should support Graphics Output Protocol (GOP), which means UEFI will use certain standard settings, in order to access the card. When you set CSM to disabled before installing an OS, your OS will be installed in UEFI mode (Windows calls it GPT mode) But Maybe you should contact ASRock support via the form https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp They can help diagnose, if they have enough info When using a gmail account always check your spam folder for a reply |

Kind Regards

I got a B460M-ITX/ac with a Intel I3-10100F together with an Sapphire RX570 ITX. Only 8x2 GB and 1 TB samsung SSD.
This setup has caused me to loose days tinkering to try and get it running. Running with 1.60 BIOS Using an Corsair SFX series SF450 Platinum PS. Should be fine with this setup. I get so far as I can get 5 beeps from the thing. Black screen only! And no boot. Tried turning CSM on/off with UEFI Only/Legacy for "Other". If I move the RX570 to another machine it works. If I add an old Geforce from 2005 I can get it to boot Linux. If I then try to swap the RX570 back in it will not start. Only thing I can think of is reverting back to an older BIOS since there was some fixes in 1.40 for CSM... Thinking of getting an Intel CPU with integrated graphics since its very annoying to have to swap back and forth while testing. Especially since the MB wants to shutdown and restart when saving CSM settings. I think this part might compound the problem. It this setup incompatible with this Asrock motherboard? Googling it seems many have similar problems with UEFI and Asrock. Any ideas? Any better BIOS around? |
