This seems to be an issue with other computers but not my setup and none of the fixes seems to work.
Mobo:z590 pro4
Windows 10 64bit
When downloading the drivers on a fresh install after a round of bsod caused by a previous graphics card that ended in a critical error that corrupted my original install. i get "realtek network controller was not found if deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable"
In device manager the lan controller shows up under other devices as "lan controller" instead of the proper name in network adapters.. all the fixes say to turn it on in the BIOS but i cant find where in my UEIF, nor can i just reinstall the drivers since i get that error when i install them. My PC is a sitting duck without internet, cant even finish my windows installation setup without internet.. so its not fully optimized or even up to date right now.
Everything worked before and im wondering if the fresh install of windows wasn't enough to fix the damage and my Ethernet port is just dead perminantly? I also get at startup that realtek lightweight filter driver is not installed or failed to load.

Hi,

maybe it would be best, to create a bootable USB stick, with Rufus, and put Ubuntu Linux on it.
test with a minimal configuration, and default BIOS setting.
Then boot end press F11 to get into the bootmenu, and slect the device that has Ubuntu.
Youi can run Ubuntu without installing it, and in use, it looks a bit like Windows.
Check if the LAN port works.
If yes, it has to do with the windows installation,
If no, there is psobably a hardware defect, and yiu should contact your dealer, to claim warranty.
Also check the status LED's on the LAN port.
Kind Regards
