This thread is from a year ago, but it's never too late to try and help out. I see you were experiencing crashes and reboots when launching games like Apex Legends and Warzone. Given your hardware setup, which looks quite powerful, crashes and reboots can still occur due to various factors. Here are a few steps you can try: 1. Ensure that all your drivers, especially for your motherboard and graphics card, are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause stability issues. 2. Keep an eye on your system's temperatures. Overheating can lead to crashes, so make sure your CPU and GPU are properly cooled and that your fans are functioning effectively.

Okay, I will try moving the plugs on the psu and seeing if that fixes the issue if not I will most likely contact the company from which I purchased it from.

Thank you

RMA = return merchandise authorization

Basically return it to the store/manufacturer for testing and/or replacement.
While it's certainly not very common to get a bad PSU new out of the box, it
does happen. All things being new the cause of an issue like this, in order of
likelihood, is as follows:

PSU
Motherboard
GPU

You can check your event logs anyway, they may show a critical power failure
error if the system had enough time to log the event. You can also try disconnecting
and reconnecting all your power cables again, possibly try a different 8pin CPU
power connector, I would suggest the one on the same row as your 24pin power
connector and have your GPU connected to the ones on the bottom row (load balancing).
Make sure all the power cables are snuggly inserted into both the PSU and the
board/gpu. A poor connection could also cause your issues.

If all that fails, return the PSU as it is likely defective.

Good luck.

Yes it is like a hard reset. My monitor goes black and then I see the Asrock logo within seconds. The PSU is new, what do you mean by RMA?

Does the system abruptly reboot (like you pressed the reset button) or does it
hang for some time first, possibly flash a bluescreen etc?

If it is like a hard reset, this kind of issue is usually power related. If your
PSU is new, I would RMA it. If not, see if you can try a different one.

If the reboot comes after a hang/error then you can check your windows logs and
see what they tell you:

Search -> type "event viewer" -> enter/click on the app -> Windows Logs -> System

You can filter critical entries so it only shows you issues rather than all the
standard logging info. If there is a critical error log that coincides with the
last forced system reboot then it should give you some info into the cause.

So, I am running into an issue where when I launch a game like Apex Legends or Warzone, my system crashes and reboots. The lights in the PC remain on but the Asrock logo appears and I have to log in again. It seems like my motherboard is crash booting itself. I am not sure what the issue is.

This the main hardware that I use:
Asrock Phantom 4 Gaming AX AMD Motherboard
Gigabyte RTX 3070 TI
Ryzen 9 5900x
Corsair RM850 Gold PSU
G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32 gb (16x2)

It's frustrating because I just got this PC brand new and am running into these issues. I hope I can get a solution for this ASAP.

Thanks in advance
