Hi,

Not sure if it is correct place to ask. I ordered AX210 wifi card and tried to replace AX200 on my X570-ITX/TB3 with it. But it seems that only bluetooth worked. (in BIOS both WLAN and BT is enabled. latest BIOS) I also tried 9560 and this time wifi and bt are both not working. In device manager there is no AX210, tried in ubuntu with lspci as well. Tried clearing BIOS but with no luck. Also tried to install AX210 in a laptop and it works (the card is not defective).

Not sure if this motherboard is somehow bound to specific wifi card (hard-coded in BIOS?)

Thanks!

reply to myself: 9560 is not working because it uses CNVi interface.

Yes correct.
There are different standards
CNVio or CNVio 2, are Intel standards, that work only on the newe chipset, somehow the MAC address for the Wifi card is connected to the CPU.
The other standard is, where Wifi is connected via PCI Express, and Bluetooth is connected to USB.
These last cards, will work om every system,. with the M.2 key E socket.
CNVio, only works on intel, starting from Z390 or newer
Z370 for instance does not support CNVio
supports type 2230 WiFi/BT PCIe WiFi module
Z390 supports both
supports type 2230 WiFi/BT PCIe WiFi module and IntelĀ® CNVi (Integrated WiFi/BT)
AMD only supports WiFi/BT PCIe WiFi module
Kind Regards

Thanks for the response. Now I understand the reason that 9560 is not work on X570-ITX/TB3, but still not sure why AX210 (PCIe based) is not work on X570-ITX/TB3.

That is odd, the AX210 lists it's specs as:

Quote
Package Specifications
Board Form Factor
M.2 2230, M.2 1216

Package Size
22mm x 30mm x 2.4mm, 12mm x 16mm x 1.65mm

System Interface Type
Wi-Fi(PCIe), BT(USB)

Technically within spec for an AMD board. Where are you installing it, in the
vertical slot the bundled Wifi adapter was in or the one on the back of the board?

Hi @Xaltar, I replaced originally vertically installed AX200 with AX210. Thank you!

Can you tell me what exacty happens when the AX210 is fitted, is it not recognized, or is it impossible to install drivers.
AX200 is Wifi 6, AX210 is Wifi 6E, I am checking if this is maybe the culprit.
Kind Regards

The AX210 is not shown in device manager. There is no other "unknown devices". I downloaded and installed the latest AX210 driver from Intel website before I inserted the wifi card. I also tested in Ubuntu with lspci command, and there is no such card shown.

If the AX200 card is found, and the AX210 is not, it would indicate a defective card.
The AX210 has been tested on this board by ASRock, and is fully functional using

Did you ever figure out the issue? I believe I am running into the same problem.
