asrock 970 extreme4 not detecting graphics card

   i bought asrock 970 extreme4 last month. i started with 2 graphics card and it worked all good. then i added 3 more card but the board detected 2. I then started playing around by unplugging the card one by one and restarting and so on. sometimes it detected 2 more and sometimes it detected 1 more.

I had it detected 3 more (exactly what i wanted) only once but then after rebooting, it detected only 2 more.

It appeared that the board is completely random in detecting the extra graphics card.

I read the menu but could not find anything. I also tried pressing on the clr cmos button after rebooting and it gave me the black screen with f1 and f2 options only. I think f1 is go to setup and f2 is load default values - nothing much there.

The board can't be really that lousy huh?

any help would be greatly appreciated

	I'm having the same issue with my Fatal1ty 970 Perfomance/3.1 It detects cards in the top PCIe 2.0 x16 slots (PCIe 2 & PCIe 4 in owner manual) But not the bottom one (PCIe 5 slot) I tried shuffling around cards, used 5 different cards, even the 3.1 usb they sent, won't register anything... So what's the point of designing a mobo to have that slot if it doesn't work? And why are we being advertised something we're not getting?
