ASRock has started releasing UEFI/BIOS updates for Broadwell-E HEDT processors for their X99 mother boards.

They are not done yet doing so, and there is no reason why your board won't get an update for Broadwell-E.

Intel has not yet launched Broadwell-E processors. They should be coming soon, as the Xeon Broadwell-E equivalent was recently reviewed.

Usually when a new processor generation is compatible with an existing Intel chipset, such as the X79 and X99 chipsets, there are also updates for the INF files and the Intel Management Engine (IME) software. I can't imagine that would be any different for the Broadwell-E HEDT processors and the X99 platform.

The issue you said happens with the new UEFI version for Broadwell-E support is probably caused by the IME software you are using. When you say the "power state" is broken, please explain that in more detail. Do you mean the CPU power saving options?

So far, I have not found any INF or Intel Management Engine software/driver updates for Broadwell-E HEDT processors. I don't see a new version available on Intel's download site, or on several mother board manufactures that I checked, including ASRock. That tells me it is simply not available yet from Intel.

While the UEFI/BIOS update to support Broadwell-E processors is important, so is the related IME software. Mother board manufactures want to be ready for the release of Broadwell-E, but if we can't get the new IME software that goes along with it yet, then the update is incomplete.

Intel is responsible for the INF and IME software and until they release it there is no point in applying the Broadwell-E UEFI update IMO.
