Could you list what drives you have connected to the system please.

Did you perform a fresh install of windows on the new system? I would try disconnecting all the drives you have connected with the exception of the OS/Boot drive and see what your boot times are with only the one drive.

Hi folks.  I've recently built a new PC for pro audio use, and I've run into a few problems.  I'm new to the PC building world, and am primarily a Mac guy, so my knowledge on this kind of stuff is a little limited.

Here's what I've got for components:
ASRock X99 Extreme4
i7-5820k 3.3 GHz 6-core CPU
G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-2133 RAM - 64 GB (4x 16 GB)
SanDisk 240 GB SSD Drive for my OS

The first problem is an extremely slow boot, around 2-3 minutes.  When starting the computer up it sits on the ASRock logo screen for a good 45-60 seconds before getting to the Windows start screen.  I've turned the UEFI on to Ultra-Fast, which doesn't seem to make any difference.

I'm currently running Windows 10, but was having the same problem with Windows 7.  The only thing that's maybe out of the ordinary with my build was that I'd just pulled my drives out of my old computer and plugged them into the new machine, since the reason for the new machine was a dead mobo on the old one.  There's some other music production software that I'm also having some problems with (slow load times with samples) that may also be related, but this seems to be the first point for me to start at.

Any suggestions?  Thanks for the help.
