Hi,
Can MotherBoard ASRock Q1900-ITX updated to the latest BIOS ver. 2.00 from 2019/6/18, boot and use as root drive m.2 NVMe SSD attached to the PCIE port with the help of adapter? And if there isn't support from the BIOS, can we hope for it? |

Dear LZ,
This port is for a PCI express Wifi card, NVME definitely won't work |

Kind Regards

Dear threadzipper1957,
You arn't correct. It's a standard PCIe port. Recently I modify my BIOS by inserting NVMe drivers into the ROM, which I extract from another MB BIOS ROM and now I have fully working NVMe drive on my ASRock Q1900-ITX MB. Works great with no issues, just like it came from manufacturer. What I try before and didn't work propperly is: 1. CLOVER method for adding the NVMe support - random issues with USB ports, SATA ports and system stability. 2. Win-RAID forum guide for NVMe support BIOS mod - issues with SATA ports. WARNING: to those who dare to modify their BIOS. You risk bricking your MB and I'm not responsible by any way. Kind Regards |
