I have been switching a lot of hard drives in and out of my Fatality1Z77 Professional desktop to upgrade it to Windows 10 and to try consolidate my programs, documents, and pictures from several different SSD drives. Now it won't detect any of them on any SATA connection but it can see the DVD and under linux it can see a USB thumb drive. I can boot it up from a live CD or DVD but otherwise it says no boot device found if any SSD drive when connected and listed first in boot order. I used one live CD to save most of the files I want to other hard drives to move them to my laptop. All drives except the ADATA were working fine before and several were ones I had used to boot up, I never could get Windows 10 to run on the ADATA but it installed fine on Mushkin and Windows 7 Pro ran fine on OCZ SSD.
Any suggestions to try before I upgrade to a new motherboard in two weeks.

I have used the same cables that show the DVD and run that fine but the bios doesn't detect any SATA drives there either except the DVD. The drives are OK and will show up if hooked up through a USB dock. I updated the bios with the flash utility but still no go. i set all the SATA ports on enabled for SSD in the bios settings. I tried using a SATA port card in a PC slot and still no go. i am running the desktop under ubuntu live Cd now and it works fine. I can't put it on any hard drive cause the bios won't see them unless I place them in a USB dock. I don't know how well it work to try run linux from a USB dock or if it would boot up OK from cold start but can try that til I put in a new mother board.. I got four good years from the Fatali1yZ77 so maybe its time for an upgrade soon anyway.
