The problem is that the board was released prior to the Ryzen 5000 series CPUs.
It's very much the norm to just update the support list with the required BIOS
version next to each CPU model. The confusion comes in when there is sticker on
the packaging like "Ryzen 5000 ready" for example which does not extend to the
5000g CPUs that were released later on.

ASRock has done a lot to improve their website and information over the years but
some things are just problematic given they have no control over CPU launch cycles etc.

Thanks Xaltar, I see the sticker now & unfortunately it is P3.40.

I also now see that ASRock shows requirements for the motherboard on the BIOS download page for the board. I find that a bit deceptive marketing. If there are requirements that the board be flashed this should be displayed prominently on the actual CPU SUPPORT LIST.

Check what BIOS version you have on your board. There should be a small white sticker
on the board itself near the bottom most Ultra M.2 slot in the lower corner of the
board. The BIOS version it shipped with should be printed on that sticker. If it
is older than P3.90 then you will need a BIOS update to support the 5700g.

POST Status Checker issue with CPU/VGA/Boot

I just assembled this PC. When I turn it on the PSC first lights up w/ VGA/BOOT and after 2 seconds it changes w/ CPU/VGA/BOOT leds all lit up red. The only led not lit is the DRAM.

The CPU Support list shows that it supports AMD Ryzen 5700G. There is no mention that out of the box it won't work with the AMD Ryzen 5700G. What BIOS does this motherboard ship with? Does it require a BIOS update to support this CPU? If so, how am I going to be able to do that when it won't POST?
