OK, I am obviously overlooking something. I am building a new desktop using an ASRock Radeon RX 6800 XT Phantom Gaming D graphics card. When I tried to remove it, the catch doesn't release. I looked in the MoBo UM and don't see anything. The forum doesn't return anything or I am not using the correct search term.

Assuming the release is in the same location as PCIE4 I have worked credit cards and similar-sized items over the latch and I can't seem to release it.

Can someone help me, please? Thank you.

The tab at the bottom end of the slot needs to be pushed down (towards the board).
It works much the same way as the RAM retention clips.

I had not noticed the latch when I first installed the card. After looking for access through the VGA card or access underneath I tried forcing the card up and the latch separated from its mounting point and stayed on the ASRock Radeon RX 6800 XT Phantom Gaming D graphics card. I reattached the latch to its mounting point, HOPEFULLY, something was out of position and if I have to remove it again it will release easily.

Forcing electronic cards is an easy way to break something and the last resort. I did not see any reference in the UM on how to release the VGA card. It looks like a potential week link with the weight of the card. I hope I am wrong.
