Hello everyone.
I'd like to disable the CPU's (Ryzen 7 1700) led light (AMD Wraith Spire) I'm currently using on my ASRock AM4 AB350M Pro4. How can I safely do that?
Thanks in advance.

Hey, that's the original Spire with copper plug. Good stuff!

I have one that came with R7-2700 (non-X). I took the whole fan/LED assembly off of it and put a standard 80x80mm fan (an old Japan-made Sanyo) on it. The heatsink screw locations line up perfectly for a standard 80x80mm fan.

Love the thing as a server cooler on my X470D4U with 3300X. Incredibly reliable fan and no LED in sight!

Thanks for your reply! Your solution is very good but unfortunately too advanced for me. That's why I'd like to limit myself to disable the light.

This is a fairly common request, unfortunately, there is no "simple" fix.

eccential's suggestion is probably the easiest solution, replacing the fan on the
cooler with one that does not have RGB. I believe your cooler has a light up "AMD"
logo as well as an RGB ring? If that is the case the only way to turn them off
is to have the RGB connectors from the fan connected to the motherboard and install
the Coolermaster software and switch them off from there.
