Hi,
I have recently bought a 4TB kingston KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD in order to upgrade my storage in my TRX40 creator motherboard. However, the motherboard was not able to detect the SSD after being installed in M2_2 slot. I have tried to install the other slot in M2_3 but no detection. I have checked the BIOS version, and it is updated to the latest version. Any ideas what could be the issue? Motherboard: TRX40 creator P.170 Processor: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X |

Mmm, I just read a post by someone else with a different motherboard and an issue with an nvme drive not being recognized.
They bought a different brand. I suspected a faulty drive but now I'm not so sure. I guess I lucked out with my 2. Neither of which I checked the QVL before buying. Both are PCI3. Sorry, try a different brand or a smaller one are my ideas. |
