Looking at the block diagram in the manual for the B760M
PG Riptide, the DMI lanes connecting the CPU to the chipset are stated as "DMI Gen3 x4". Is this correct or is that a typo? All other B760 boards I've looked at list the DMI lanes as gen 4, or 4.0. Also, this board seems to have an external clock generator in the same place as the B660 PG Riptide, if I'm not mistaken. I know that for some MSI and Asus boards the possibility of changing the BCLK on alder lake chips was disabled by a BIOS update/updated Intel microcode. Is it possible to BCLK overclock with the B760M PG Riptide, or is this disabled with the newest BIOS/Intel microcode? Or was it never possible at all? Lastly, is it possible to enable AVX-512 for CPUs that still have it with the B760M PG Riptide? In the manual of the B660M PG Riptide this is stated as an option, but AVX instructions are never mentioned at all in the B760M manual. If you would know the answer to any of these questions, I would appreciate your input! |
