1.21 worked fine so far, except that it randomly didn't psot anymore and rebooted until eternity, quick check in bios I could see it threw out the EXPO profile for no reason and then booted with standrad settings for RAM (1.1V). 1.24 is running sicne 20 days now and doesn't do that anymore, none the less, very annoying for a "high end" mainboard

You will need to open a support ticket with ASRock for that kind of info. This is
a community forum.

When can we expect an update? At the moment, small changes in the pbo settings for my 7600x => result in a black screen while using the browser. Or while playing. "Error 41 - Kernel power" appears in the event log.
At the same time, any stress tests can run for hours without errors.

On the cheaper b650m aorus elite, there are no problems and at -20 pbo the processor is stable and more energy efficient.

wtf?

1.18 AS04 restarts to a black screen forcing a hard reboot. With 1.18 I experienced frequent browser crashes and less frequent windows crashes. Rolled back to 1.11 AS03 which operates without a problem.

This box is a pretty vanilla setup using all approved hardware. Had the same problems with FW 1.14 before ASRock finally yanked that from the downloads. Will 1.18 get yanked too?

Unplugged everything. Replugged Everything. Note did move one of my 6pin power from the top rail to the bottom rail. Removed GPU, HDD, and two GIGABYTE AORUS Gen4 M.2GIGABYTE AORUS Gen4 M.2. Reset CMOS. Reflashed BIOS back to 1.11(AS03).
Left 4 ram stick in and in bios for ram left everything set to Auto.
Booted off USB drive for Running Passmark MemTest86. No errors or issues with CPU or Ram. Left SATA controller to AHCI. Boot off Win11 USB media.
Installed, updated, and now running without issues on based config with 1 m.2 and no GPU other then built-in AMD. Allowed all Windows Updates, before letting ASRock auto driver install do updates. So far running ok, sleeping ok, ran furmark for an hour without crashes.

Next steps will be to add GPU back in. Then other drives.

I just want to chime in and share, that 1.18.AS04 seems good so far on my end - even with 5200 xmp.

Hi there

Try to reseat your CPU and cooler, am5 CPU's can be problematic with to much or to little pressure on the socket, I Went thru hell and back till I worked this out...

me personally bios 1.18 has been rock solid on my x670e Taichi..

but i dont run expo memory (xmp kit)
CPU: RYZEN 7950x | Motherboard: ASROCK X670E TAICHI | GPU: MSI RTX4090 LIQUID X 24GB | RAM: FURY X DDR5 C40 | Hard Drive: INTEL OPTANE 900P 480GB,1 x SAMSUNG 980 PRO 2TB,2 X ADATA S8200X 2TB

But it does not save my EXPO profile. After changing from standard 4800 to my 6000 EXPO profile, the new reboot turns off the PC completely, takes much much longer (nearly a minute) and then reboots again with 4800 Mhz.

So 1.18 is not usable.

update, I went back to 1.11 AS03 Beta, and at least the EXPO timings are woring again. With 1.18 the Expo timings were set in the bios, but did not translate, during boot in BIOS it says @4800 and in Windows you could as well see that it was running at 1.1 Volt instead of the 1.35 in the EXPO timing.

My forst ASRock mainboard ever and I feel more like a BETA tester who is not getting paid

Oh and I forgot my system specs, in case ASRock wants tpo re-create the problem.

BIOS version with issue: 1.18
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
RAM: G.Skill 2x16GB (F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5NR) listed in mainboard QVL

back to 1.11 AS03 BETA and it works again, memory runs at 6000Mhz and 1.35V. Only downside are the usual long bios bootup times with EXPO profiles ...
