X399 Taichi onboard power smart switch

   On the X399 Taichi motherboard, there is a "smart switch" button marked power.  Is this just a substitute for the front panel power button that works with or without the front panel power connected?  (I can't test, board not working yet, but it would be helpful to know during testing.)  Thanks!
