Hello and thanks for the help in advance,

I built my PC in 2019/2020 and it ran reasonably well for awhile. However, recently the machine has been plagued with random BSODs, screen freezing, sometimes random audio issues, and sometimes my monitor doesn?™t detect a signal despite the computer being running and so I hard reboot.

PC Specs:

MOBO: Asrock 450m Pro4 (3.60 BIOS) not sure if I should try to update due to older cpu?

CPU: Ryzen 1600 AF (no overclock, think I tried the first month of the build but deemed too complicated)

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Super

RAM: 2x8 GB G. Skill Ripjaws V 3200 MHz (did run xmp at 3200 for most of rigs lifetime, turned to default 2933 when issues started)

SSD: 1 TB Sabrent Rocket M.2 NVMe (was reasonably full and have since cleared space to around 2/3 capacity)

When I look on the ASRock site it says 2.00 was the last validated bios:
https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450M%20Pro4/index.us.asp#CPU

However, I am seeing people running later versions and mine came stock with 3.60. Would it be worth trying to update BIOS to see if it fixes any issues?

Reddit thread explaining host of solutions I have tried to solve my issues:

Thanks again in advance!

Please take a look at bellow thread

I can remember similar problems with my first Ryzen and [Typical Current Idle] worked for me

If the above tips have not worked and to find out if any BIOS version can work for you I would recommend contact ASRock technical support

https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp

It is difficult to confirm without personal experience which BIOS version is recommended for a 1st generation Ryzen, maybe it makes things better or worse.

Good luck

Did you update your chipset and graphics drivers to the latest?
