Just trying to set up my new build and have hit a problem. I have 2 x M.2 drives I want to install in a RAID config.
The specifications, under Software & UEFI, state ASRock Easy RAID Installer In the BIOS for the SATA Controller there is only AHCI as an option. I have tried changing the VMD Configuration and using the Intel Rapid Storage setup, but it states Raid unavailable on PCEi drives. Do I need to download the Easy Raid Installer? If so where on earth is it as it is not available as a download for this m/b. Any ideas? |

Just to add:
If M.2 RAID is not available with this m/b, I'll be a bit pissed off, as it was a last minute decision to get a 2nd M.2 drive, which actually arrived while I was building the new PC. I'd initially decided not to run RAID, but after I'd ordered all the parts, I thought I may as well as it was only £60 to get a second M.2 driver My current setup has RAID - i7 9700K/Z370M-DH3 (Gigabyte) |

It's a bit worrying that there has been no reply to this, as it would have been really easy for someone from ASRock to reply, sorry, RAID is only available for SATA drives, which it appears it is.
Here is the specification on the website: But here is the PDF I would accept a reply such as above, as I haven't checked everything. However, not reply ... I'm going to bin the m/b - can't really return it as it is now used. |

Hi nvubu, I just looked at your online manual for this board, It says RAID is suported for SATA storage devices. Nothing for M.2. And NVMe SSD as boot disk.
So the way I read this, no support for M.2 as RAID. |

I have a similar problem:
M.2 as a Win11 system boot disk. Two SATA disks are also supposed to run as RAID 1. Set up according to this description. https://download.asrock.com/Manual/RAID/B760M%20Pro%20RS/English.pdf But now, the M.2 is no longer recognized as a boot disk. Could an external RAID controller help here, since the "VMD Configuration" remains disabled? Thanks for a hint, Mike |
