Hi,
I want to passthough one of my Graphicscards (GTX 1650super) to a virtual machine in Hyper-V (Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa) to simulate a pipeline for a self driving car for which 3d rendering is needed. I followed the steps given by microsoft: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/virtualization/hyper-v/deploy/deploying-graphics-devices-using-dda. When I try to check if my hardware is capable or not via this script: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/virtualization/hyper-v/plan/plan-for-deploying-devices-using-discrete-device-assignment it tells me: "Old-style PCI device, switch port, etc. Not assignable" for my gtx 1650 super. I have enabled I/OMMU, ACS and SR-IOV in bios. There are devices that show up as assignable after running the command. The GPU should work there are others that used the same GPU for passthrough. Are there any settings left I need to change in the bios or is my chipset just not capable of doing discrete device assignment for graphicscards. My hardware: Mainboard: Asrock Taichi X470 CPU: Ryzen 9 3900X GPU1: RX 5700xt (for host system) installed in: bottom PCIE slot GPU2: GTX 1650super (for passthrough) installed in: top PCIE slot (RAM: 32GB Dominator Platinumx 3200 Mhz) Host System: Windows 11 Pro (newest Version) Guest System: Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa Thanks, Marco |
