I built a budget motherboard at first before buiyng a i9k. Now i have a i5-11400F with G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Series (Intel XMP) DDR4 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 4000MT/s CL18-22-22-42 1.40V Desktop Computer Memory UDIMM - Silver (F4-4000C18D-32GTRS). I have 4 EZDIY FAB New Dual Ring RGB Fan, 120MM, RGB LED Case, Addressable RGB Motherboard Sync with Hub X. Kolink chassi https://kolink.eu/Home/case-1/midi-tower-2/void-series/void.html
Two fans on the top off the chassi and two in the front and one 120mm in the back. The cpu cooler was also a cheap Cooler Master Hyper H410R RGB 92mm fan. The cpu temp in Windows 10 without works use to be 38, the motherboard 35-38. Isn't it a little high? In my Dell T3500 workstation that don't have any cpu cooler at all, it has 2 strong 120mm so called industri fans in front of the cpu. The cpu runs at 27 at idle. Does newer motherboards and cpu run warmer? This is my first newer computer then my Dell T3500. The cpu can run memory at 3200mhz at max. It seems to be on 1333mhz now. |

I installed a 3rd fan in the front and the motherboard temp as idle in Windows 10 pro seems to be 40-42. Cpu 37-43 depending on rooms temp 25-35 degress. Have i got i to small chassi for this board? As the chassi usually are for ATX and not for EATX. I am used to Dell Workstations and they run much cooler with less fans, even with higher graphic cards.

Those temps are fine. Different generation CPUs can vary wildly, particularly idle
temps. |
