Hi. I'm having a few problems with my new computer. Firstly, I would like to permanently disable the iGPU in the BIOS settings, for this I change the "UMA_AUTO" option to "Disabled". However, when the computer is completely shut down, the BIOS automatically resets the iGPU settings and every time I restart the computer, I have to repeat the process of disabling the iGPU. This means that the board automatically restores the "UMA_AUTO" setting even though I had previously set it to "Disabled". The BIOS only resets this one setting.
The second problem concerns random computer resets under light load. Often, for example, when watching videos on YouTube. A black screen appears and the computer simply restarts with no visible errors. During load tests (Cinebench, 3DMark, etc.) or games - the problem does not occur. I have read many different posts on the internet about this and the problem seems to be quite common on the AM5 platform. The only clue is that the system event log shows Kernel-Power error 41 (63). All BIOS settings except memory settings (EXPO) are default. Third problem, probably related in some way to the second one. When I want to put the computer into standby mode, it has a problem getting out of it later. When you try to resume work, the computer displays a black screen and then the entire system simply restarts. I currently have BIOS version 2.02 installed, in the previous version 2.00 it was exactly the same. |

I would open a support ticket with ASRock and detail your issue. The first issue
is likely something they will need to help you with as it pertains to BIOS behavior. https://tw.asrock.com/events/tsd.asp Good luck ![]() |
