You mean can you use a SATA III HDD on your board, that only has SATA II ports?

Yes you can, it will work fine. Hopefully you are using AHCI mode in the BIOS for the best performance.

Did you try the SATA III drive and have a problem? What size/capacity is this HDD?

If your new drive is a HDD, and not a SSD, then the truth is there are zero HDDs that are faster than the SATA II interface. The performance of any SATA III HDD will be the same if it is connected to a SATA II or SATA III port.

Thank you so much.

In fact I want to buy a new Hard Drive, but I can't find any SATA II HDD.

Thank you again. Smile
