Three computers all windows 10 home.
First computer: I9-10900kf Asus Maximus Hero XII PCIEx16_1 RTX 3080ti PCIEX16_2 Empty PCIEX16_3 Intel X550-T2 10GbE NIC (driver 4.1.196.0) M.2_1 Samsung 970 EVO 1TB M.2_2 Empty (shared bandwidth with PCIEX16_3) M.2_3 Samsung 970 EVO 1TB All SATA ports and unlisted PCIE empty Second Computer: I7-6700K Asus Maximus Hero VIII PCIEX16/X8_1 RTX 2080 (running x8) PCIEX8_2 Intel X540-T@ 10GbE NIC (driver 4.1.228.0) M.2 Samsung 960 EVO 2x HDD 8TB in Raid 0 connected to SATA6G_1 and SATA6G_2 All other PCIE and SATA ports empty Third Computer: I5-12600K AsRock Z690 Extreme (Running Integrated Graphics) PCIE1 Sabrent 4-Drive NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter Card 4x Crucial P3 4TB NVMe M.2 in card (I am aware of the data transfer limitations based on this card) PCIE2 Intel X550-T2 10GbE NIC (driver 4.1.196.0) PCIE3 Empty M2_1 Crucial P3 Plus 4TB NVME M2_2 Empty M2_3 Crucial P3 Plus 4TB NVME No other PCIE or SATA connections All three computers are connected to onboard ethernet, and I have no concerns with the Gig connections I get there. All three computers are connected via the added NICs to a TP-Link TL-SX105 10GbE unmanaged switch. No other devices or connections except the three computers on this switch. Data transfers from the two Asus motherboards between each other hit the expected ~1.0GB/s (10gbps -overhead) data transfer over the LAN. If I attempt to transfer any files to the AsRock computer, my data transfer speed is limited to 500-600MB/s. I have moved the NIC and NVME expansion card in the AsRock to different configurations to see if I was missing some shared bandwidth on the motherboard, that I did not see in the documentation, and have not seen any improvements. Running data between drives on the AsRock works as expected and the data transfers are what they should be. All three computers motherboard BIOS revisions are updated. All ethernet wires are Cat6A and the runs are short distances in the same home office. There are no additional wall jacks or any other connectors between the computers or switch. I just cannot figure out why this newer computer I setup for NVME storage will not read or write at the speeds I expect. I move a lot of files around for work, and they vary in size from 4gb to 80gb, so any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.? |
