Hi,
Afer update to bios 4.X hardware virtualization stopped working. Programs detects hw virtualization as enabled but vm is so slow that you cannot use it. CPU in vm is at 100%. If you click start menu in windows vm you will wait to appear couple of seconds. System is slow and unresponsive. If you downgrade bios to 3.X version everything is ok. 4.X bios has new features and security fixes but it`s unusable for testing things in virtual machines. My System X399 taichi Threadripper 1950X 64G G.Skill TridentZ 3200 CL15 Best Regards. |

Hi
Do you use Hyper-V or VirtualBox? |

Fedora 39
VirtualBox, KVM, VMware Workstation. It does not matter. Everywhere is slow. Yesterday I tested beta 4.01 and 3.92 and both are affected. Everything is ok with 3.90 or older.New bioses have rbar feature but with rbar on or off there is no difference. |

I am not an advanced virtualization user but in my case can run several shared VMs on Fedora39 and Windows11 with VirtualBox and without problems, regardless of ReBAR enabled or not under BIOS 4.03 and previous versions.
If a clear CMOS does not solve your problem you should contact ASRock support. Sorry, I don't have any more advice or knowledge to help you, hopping other users here do |

Thank you. Resetting BIOS doesn't help. Probably 1gen Threadripper support is broken.
