Yeppers. The N3150's DisplayPort is 1.1A
A good review, see the heading "HTPC Capabilities" on the page http://nucblog.net/2015/10/asrock-beebox-braswell-fanless-review-benchmarks/ |

Just done some more digging around and found a review where it was verified that the DP is 1.1, so most definitely not going to be possible.

I have noted in the Beebox spec the statement "*This DisplayPort only supports DP to D-Sub dongles. DP to HDMI dongles and DP to DVI dongles are not supported"
Doing a little research though it would seem that if the DP port is standard rather than DP++ then a passive DP to HDMI would not work. But it does seem possible for an active cable to do so because this has the chips inside to carry out the conversion. Like this one that I have been looking at. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/club3d-cac-1070-displayport-12-(m)-to-hdmi-20-(f)-active-converter-cable-supports-8bit-4k-uhd-60hz-a However, it also seems that for such a cable to work, the DP port has to be 1.2 and this is something that I don't know, so wondered if anybody might know what standard DP port is on the box? |
