Hi.
I have the H97 mobo and it has a constant red light on. I have tested the RAM and the HDD and all Eurosoft checks came back fine. The main issue is random BSOD's No beeping sounds just random BSOD's...Completely in sequential to one another. They can happen at cold boot, or a week or two later....Random! I was thinking BIOS update? And a mobo, GPU and CPU and PSU test for sure. I am also going to try update all drivers and was wondering if anyone had any good pointers or have had a similar issue in the past this this particular mobo Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance mallett |

A good pointer would be to look in Windows Logging on or about the time of these BSODs for anything that might stand out.
For sure, we here will need something more concrete that "it BSODs" to help. Post what the screen displays when it BSODs. Something actionable though. |

Your thread's title says "AsRock H97 Fatal1ty". There are two ASRock H97 Fatal1ty boards, the Fatal1ty H97 Killer, and the Fatal1ty H97 Performance. We need to know which one you have. http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20H97%20Killer/ http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20H97%20Performance/ The red light you mentioned is one of the dual BIOS identification LEDs, that indicates which of the dual BIOS chips is currently selected. These LEDs do not indicate an error. Both of the boards above have the dual BIOS feature. |

Hey sorry for the late reply.
I got the machine today ;] I fired it up and the A1 LED on the mobo emits a red light for roughly five seconds...Then it goes out Do I need to adjust a jumper perhaps? The BIOS was also flashed to try solve the issue but keeps coming up with " Load Windows Repair [Recommended] Ran the fix and it failed and... " Start Windows normally I'm thinking of hooking out the mobo as it has the red light issue...Or if you guys can give any further input, it would be very much appreciated. Many Thanks in advance mallett

That doesn't appear BIOS related. Are you moving an HDD with an OS that was installed previously on your old machine/MB over to this new MB you just received? Sure sounds like it. |

In all honesty i thought it was a BIOS LED fault indication on the motherboard but it must be a board issue as i have independently tested each and every hardware component. I have decided to return the board for a refund.
Thanks for your input guys i really appreciate it
