Hi,

I built a new pc with ASRock H110-DGS . THe installation disk does not run, I can list the files on it.
I've installed the latest version of Ubuntu and I have some problems:

VGA does not work
Mouse and screen and extremely slow and glitchy
Wifi does not work on - it does not even recognise the wifi signal - although ethernet works

Personally I think the correct drivers have not loaded. If you have any other idea as to what is causing the variety of problems please help. OR if you agree on it being a driver issue - how do I get the right drivers and load them in Ubuntu?
thanks
Tony

The Support CD is a Windows only collection of drivers.

You'll need to wait until a Ubuntu person sees this thread or ask over at the Ubuntu Forums

ASRock does not provide support for Linux, the driver disk contains drivers for Windows only. You will need to ask on the forums for your linux distro about the steps needed to find and install drivers for your system. The Ubuntu community is great, I have had a lot of dealings with them myself over the years.

There are no manufacturers that provide native support for linux at this time. This is due to the fact that linux, unlike Windows and Mac OS, is constantly in flux and driver requirements change from one distribution to the next. So a driver that works for Ubuntu may not work for Fedora etc. This makes it all but impossible for manufacturers to provide standardized drivers.

You will need Intel's HD Graphics drivers (HD 530) for Ubuntu. Google search should yield the driver you need. Any further questions you will have to take up with the Ubuntu community. Be sure to use the search function, most questions you will want to ask have probably already been asked and answered.

For a start with the Intel Graphics drivers, go to this page, and in the blue OS selection box on the far right, select Linux:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/80939/Graphics-Drivers

Intel also had a link to a Linux based source of Intel graphics drivers, which I can't find of course... I'll keep looking.
