    Posted: 06 Nov 2016 at 12:23am
Hello, I am trying to find information/specifications for the Z97 Killer Fatality fan headers.  I would like to know the maximum current per header that the board can safely support.  Any help would be appreciated.

Most board fan headers are rated for 1.0A. You should be safe staying below that.

If you need more headers I suggest you look for a solution that draws power from the PSU.

Besides, you can't get reliable RPM readings nor set/adjust RPMs from a fan header when two or more fans are connected.

wardog, thanks for the reply.  I have read that information from various locations.  I have also read people stating that it is "per header" and I have read it it "total current available to all of the headers."  I don't believe the latter to be true.  I was hoping to find a definitive answer from an ASRock tech sheet.  I just have not been able to locate this sheet :(

I do not want to put more than on fan per header.  I was hoping to put this fan: Delta AFC1212D-PWM 120mm, on my Chassis_one and another one on my CPU_one.

It is ~1.0A per header. Those look to be 0.80A so one on each header should be golden.

Jeebus man. Why not hook up the vacuum cleaner to it instead? hehe 113cfm ......
