I recently purchased a Asrock X99 OC Formula/3.1 and there is no video. After a bit of research I understand the bios that ships with the board is not compatible with an I7-6800k cpu. I did remove one bios chip from the motherboard, erase it, and write it with the newest bios for the board. I did this using a CH341A programmer but that didnt seem to actually change anything. Error code on board is still 53. Anyone here have any ideas? So far I got
-Send the cpu back and get another -Order another cpu, flash bios, then send it back -Find a friend with a compatible cpu(No one I can think of) -Find a store that will flash the bios for me with their cpu (Still looking but cant find any as of now) -Purchase a flashed bios chip from someone on ebay (Not sure if this will really work) I have been made aware that regardless of hardware or software you use to flash a bios chip. If the Hardware or software doesnt write the bios in a certain way tailored to the bored it wont work regardless. Any ideas anyone?
