I had my old motherboard and PSU go out.
I bought a new PSU and motherboard after installing it cant seem to get the new motherboard to post.

Old psu HX 1000 W corsair
old motherboard Asus P8P67 pro
cpu intel I-7 2600K
ram 4x 2gb 1600 corsair
video card Nvidia GTX 580

We have tried resetting the processor no change
have changed out all 4 sticks of ram  no change
changed out the video cards tried the old card that will work in other machines so it appears its good  plus have tried a gtx 680 that is a brand new card and before now never been installed in any other pc

Pulled the motherboard battery left it out for an hour none of this seems to make any difference anyone have any suggestions other then to return the motherboard it was purchased as a factory refurbished as a motherboard for a LGA 1155 processor is pretty hard to find brand new. I wont tell where I bought it as not sure on rules on that but it was a reputable online supplier

I hate to even ask but how sure are you the CPU didn't go south with the old board and PSU?

Have you overlooked connecting the 4 or 8-pin ATX12V CPU Power from the PSU to the new MB?

Not having done that it will behave as you describe.
