Don't worry. Thank you for your help. I will provide additional details in the next hours... I will say you the Bios/Uefi versiĆ³n, a picture of the black screen with a freezed cursor in the top left that appears and don't load GRUB-EFI and finally the test purposed with the option of storage OpROM in uefi only mode...I think I tested it and I was able to boot if CSM was enabled and the three options OpROM were in uefi only Mode but I will check it again.

About the test. CSM enabled and storage pRom in UEFI mode. It boots my Ubuntu installation and also my USB stick, it also boots if the other two options are in UEFI only. I think it isn't able to boot via UEFI and as CSM is enabled it boots via BIOS anyway. So we are back to the initial point. Some images:

The UEFI device I choose when I try to boot from the USB image made with rufus (the same as unetbottin)

My gparted information about the Ubuntu installation made in mode CSM:

I will add a photo of the blank screen if you need it but it doesn't help to muchUnhappy

A picture of the blank screen won't help, no need for that.

I don't have much else to tell you, if it is a problem with the board's UEFI/BIOS, I cannot fix that myself.

A Windows UEFI booting installation has a legacy MBR partition, and an EFI partition, so it can boot in UEFI or legacy/BIOS mode.

You said you think Ubuntu is booting in legacy/BIOS mode with the CSM options configured as you described, but where is the legacy, non-EFI boot partition?

I don't know Ubuntu/Linux well enough to know what is happening in this situation.

It's a bare metal set up. I don't have any windows license to test the boot without CSM enabled. Can you try  to boot Windows with the J4205 ITX and the CSM disabled?  If it failed would be a good test to discard any mistake  in  the SO image.

Unfortunately you'll want to contact Tech Support using http://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp .

I'm a Moderator yet that access will need to be addressed by Tech Support.

Please, keep me updated on whatever is determined to be causing this.
