Hi,
im planning to switch from 1150 to 1151 with Kaby Lake. To keep costs "low", I will first buy the Intel I7-7700K along with an ASRock B150M Pro4S/D3 and use my old DDR3 RAM for a while. And in 2-3 months I will switch the mainboard and RAM. In order to get the ASRock B150M Pro4S/D3 working with Kaby Lake I have to flash the BIOS to Version 7, but as written I just have an 1150 CPU ... Is it possible to flash the BIOS without the CPU or with CPU installed and using a basic set of instruction? thx in advance

I am afraid not.
Your options are: 1. Flash the BIOS using a supported CPU (cheap celeron or borrowed CPU) 2. Contact Tech support and purchase a preflashed BIOS chip to replace your current one. Tech Support: event.asrock.com/tsd.asp
