Z77 OC Formula MOS fan making noises

   Hi 

I have a the Z77 OC Formula MBoard and the MOS fan is on its way I think.

Sometimes at power up it rattles away, higher the speed higher the whine.

Able to clear it by power off and on a few times.

Only happening intermittently at the moment but its sure to get worse.

so the question is can i replace the fan?

Is there thermal paste connecting underneath? I notice there are screws on the fan do these remove it? Can I replace without removing the Mboard from the case? What size is the fan?

Any thoughts or ideas?
