Can I install a Broadwell cpu Xeon gen 4 with the old bios P1.20?
Motherboard EPC612D4I which does support Broadwell  BUT with bios P2.10.

The question is will it even boot to allow a bios update if I use a Xeon v4 Broadwell CPU.
I do not have  or want to buy a Xeon Gen 3 Haswell just to perform a bios upgrade.

No, you will need a compatible CPU with the current BIOS version to update or alternatively a new BIOS chip from ASRock.

UPDATE:   ASRock sent me a pre-updated BIOS 2.10 and my E5-2630v4 worked perfectly.
Thank you William at ASRock!
