Hi,

Just bought and swapped this board in for a MSI Z87 Xpower. But to my sadness, the first thing it does when I boot the first time into BIOS, is to spin the fans like crazy. I'm not lucky with putting it into silent mode either.  It has the same RPM. I've tried the custom mode, and I must say it is the first time trying tweekin fans, but either I put 10% or 90%, it gives the same RPM no matter what.

Is this board a bad apple?

---

I have a i7 4770K CPU with Cooler Master Nepton 140XL attached to it.

The settings are only applied after you save and quit the bios, I know that is a pretty obvious statement but I have to say it anyway. So far as I have seen my fans spin up to a default speed every time I enter the bios, the only time I see my settings applied is when I boot into windows. Have you checked your fan speeds in OS?

I found out. It was the two fans belonging to the Cooler master. Thought it wlll have something to do with the CPU fan. I connected the two fans into a splitter and connected to Chassis fan 1. Smile
