No Audio on new Z270 Taichi Build

build today, came up great except no audio, pulled latest drivers including beta but still nothing front or rear. Anyone have any ideas?

Bring up the "Playback Devices" by right clicking on the Speaker icon in the right side of the Taskbar and see what it's currently set for.

I guess, too, check that the Volume isn't set low.



You didn't list your hardware but my guess is it's currently set for outputting audio via the graphics cards HDMI or DisplayPort.

After a fresh Windows 10 installation, with multiple audio sources in the PC, (several from mother board, several from video card, every HDMI port, SPDIF output), opening the Windows Sound settings had none of them set as the Default device.

Thanks Wardog, pointed ,e in the right direction but actually turned out to be an output frequency issue found through the sound troubleshooting feature.
