I have since learned that the RAM I bought while obtaining parts for my new Ryzen build is in the "frequency hole" for Ryzen. I have a 3000 kit from Corsair. I have been patiently waiting to get a Taichi board, but the more I wait, and the more I look at the Killer, the more willing I am to "settle" for a "lesser" board. So I checked the QVL for the Taichi and my particular kit is listed there, then I checked it for the Killer and it is not listed. Just for fun I checked the Fatality Professional and it was listed, then I checked the Fatality K4 and it was not. So is it possible that ASRock just didn't see fit to test it on the lower cost boards? I know it will downclock to 2933 (I would be fine with that), is that why it isn't listed? Wouldn't it downclock to 2933 on the higher end boards as well? Or would I be stuck in the 2133 or lower lands?
Does anyone else have this kit and what are you gettiing for speeds with the Killer? Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 Thanks Edited by Tasilium - 10 Apr 2017 at 4:56am |

I'll mention this as I just built a Ryzen.
CMK16GX4M2B3600C18 fired right up at 2133, set XMP(I know, but I'm a Mod here) and they went to 3200 no problem. Most 3000 mem discussec here ends up being Hynix IC based, which Ryzen so far doesn't like at all. Samsung b-die ICs run great. The mem you have, here is littered with posts of it not going over 2400. Do a search on that kit number. Then there is this resource, in case you were not aware. http://rymem.vraith.com/ |

Thanks for the response, its a shame the first thing I ordered for my Ryzen build was the RAM.....I saw that the Vengence Kits had shipped with the reviewer kits, and I ordered a Vengence kit figuring if AMD sent it out with Reviewer kits, it must be alright...Well I admit now that was a dumb decision. Oh Well....and of course I have been patiently awaiting a Taichi to come in stock so I screwed around and let my return timeframe lapse on the RAM I have had sitting around for a month. Guess I will just have to bite the bullet and deal with crappy RAM speeds when my Mobo arrives.
Anyone want to buy an unopened Corsair kit...lol...? |

Did you manage 3200 on the Killer SLI board? Mine boot fine but aren't stable, I have to set them at 2933 at the moment (2x8GB 3600MHz Samsung B-Die). Eagerly awaiting for those new bios to hopefully arrive soon :).

I'm at 2933 max with an ASRock X370 Killer SLI/ac board, 1700X, with G.SKILL FlareX F4-3200C14D-16GFX, which uses Samsung B-Die chips. This memory is also designed for Ryzen.
So you're not doing bad, relatively speaking. The UEFI/BIOS updates also depend on information and even code from AMD. Ryzen is still young, give it some time. |

I did with b-die IC'd CMK16GX4M2B3600C18. Not a chance with Hynix IC'd F4-3200C16D-16GTZB. Tonight I see what b- die IC'd F4-4133C19D-16GTZA. If anyone is using Hynix based sticks and waiting for a BIOS, this post by me this am is, sorry to say, worth a read: http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4807&PID=27011&title=x370-killer-sli-ram-do-not-exceed-2400-mhz#27011 |

Good thing at least mines are Samsung-B die. What Im having trouble is setting them at 3200. At 2933 it works easy 14-14-14, the problem is with 3200 I get blue screen at like 5-10 mins or so browsing or whatever. My RAMs are KFA2 HOF DDR4-3600 16Gï¼?G*2ï¼?D4-3600 8G C17-18-18-38 1.35V. Any hint? Maybe future BIOSes updates can fix it?

try this
click xmp >3200 profile this should set the volts and *other* timings to the similar gskill 3200 sticks THEN manually adjust the timings to 15 15 15 35 it should boot and should be stable run memtest/benchmarks etc but then turn off and try a cold boot after 5 mins to check it boots clean and dosnt 4 beep loop and reset its bios to default (the first reboot after bios changes do take longer the first time so dont panic) if it wont cold boot cleanly repeat above and enter manualy 16 16 16 35 it should be ok on that my taichi worked stable directly with the 2x8 gb f43200cl15-16 kits (that is the taichi on rymem its mine :) i can get it to run 14/14/14/35 stable for hours but the dam thing will not cold boot at cl14 |
