I am building a new pc for my wife--she works with three out of town companies & her old pc is not good enough for all the the work that she is now doing.
I purchased an ASROCK Z270 MB and I am confused about the SATA ports on the MB. The pc will have one HD---two DVDRWs----one front panel with audio & USB ports----one additional front panel with card reader & USB ports. The way that I understand the MB set up I will need to use five ports which means that I will need to connect two items into SATA ports that will cause one item to be disabled when the other is being used. Or am I reading page number 22 incorrectly??? What would be the best way to connect all of these items to the MB? Also, I understand that it is recommended to use the SATA3_0 port for connecting the HD. That being the case I assume that the SATA3_1 port will not be usable!? Another question is: what is the difference between the port labeled SATA3_A1 and the port labeled SATA3_1 ?? What does the "A" mean?? |
