Hi guys, I'm new here and I need some advices on how to oc my system. Here are may specs: Ry1700, 2x8 Gb Corsair (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16) and Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4 mb (Bios v2.2). Well, I managed to oc somehow the CPU @ 3.9 with 1.3v, but the system is not stable in Prime95 (I got a black screen after 5-7 min.). Could you guys help me to adjust the "right" settings in BIOS? Thanks.

Current BIOS settings:
CPU: 3900
CPUv: 1.3
Mem@2933 CL16 (can't get it to work @ 3200 yet)
Memv: auto
everything else: auto

ps: maybe we can make an oc guide, it would be awesome ;)

1.3v seems a little low for 3900?
He walks among us, but he is not one of us.

I'll try to rise the CPU voltage... but how about the other settings?

One change at a time. Otherwise you don't know which change is holding you back. OC'ing is not rubber-stamping someone elses results.

Watch your temps changing voltages.

Check the voltage your memory is rated for aswell, usually this is 1.35 with the faster kits.

not really mine has been stable from day one at 1,306 volts and 3.9 on all cores (r7 1700)

milage may well depend on
cpu silicon lottery
power regulation and quaility of the board
and of course the power supply unit

maybe try the ram at stock speeds first to establish whats the issue with instable errors

also if running at 3.9 with 1.3 v
maybe look at the LLC you may wish to fix it to something more stable than auto

Successsss! 3.9GHz@1.3025v... but the temps are high, HWinfo reports 84 degr. C T(ttcl) in Prime95 (torture test). But I think the temp. is not real... HWinfo has 2 temps: T(tctl) and the "normal" one.

it's possible that the temps are real (my ryzen starts throttling at 85° so maybe yours is at the temp limit?) sadly asrock chose a very strange way of fan management.
It looks at the mainboard CPU temp which is something different from the  Tdie.
This temp seems to be a diode on the motherboard, for me it "laggs" behind Tdie and is around 10° C lower.
This leads to the fans not reacting properly.
Maybe you can check at what speeds your fans run. Also you may want to edit the fan curve.(In Bios or f stream)
