Z270 Extreme4 Dual Bios Red LED always on?

its there a way to turn off the Red LED of the bios chips? its very bright

even then the computer is turned off, the bios red led is still on..

Sadly no. I have simply put a bit of electrical tape over mine, not ideal but it solves the issue without voiding warranty.

It is intended to show which BIOS ROM is in use but the LED is exceedingly bright, almost blinding in a dark environment.

oh i theres no way to turn off the led..

follow up question. how do i switch from using bios 1 to bios 2?
ive been reading my manual and theres no mention of how to switch bios.

BIOS switching is automated in the event of a corruption/bad flash.

The new UEFI setup is pretty advanced and uses a fair bit of new tech. I still prefer the old system with socketed ROMs and a physical jumper switch but sadly the socketed ROMs are no longer in production so there wasn't really a choice. 

I have noticed the new ROM setup feels more responsive than the old socketed variety. I have also not experienced a single UEFI hangup, I don't know if it is related but it would make sense. The old ROMs were just that, old.
