I just finished my build around this board, but the system will not post, it gives 3 beeps error message which I understand to be ram check fail, I have 2x8gb T-Force Dark 2400MHz ram and i5 7600K. No post, just 3 beeps, i don't have other ram lying around to swap out for and have read that perhaps a BIOS update would be required, but I can't boot even into BIOS, no post. Is there a way to do it without posting, or do I need to get some other ram. The specs say that it is compatible with 2400 MHz ram with 7th gen intel processors.

Dear undermark5,

Thank you for contacting ASRock.

Regarding your case, Z270 Killer SLI/ac supports Kaby Lake CPU for all BIOS version.

We provide some suggestions to try:

1.      Clear CMOS to load BIOS default.

Please check user manual p22 to clear CMOS.

http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Manual/Z270%20Killer%20SLIac.pdf

2.      Please check power supply is plug properly and power supply switch is on.

3.      Only install CPU and one stick memory to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.

4.      Please try to install one stick memory at A1, B1, A2 and B2 slot to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.

5.      Reinstall CPU and check if CPU socket pin is fine.

6.      If it is possible, please change another CPU or DRAM to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.

Thank you!

Yours truly,

ASRock TSD

I've cleared CMOS both with and without battery, no change, reseated the CPU all pins look fine in the socket, no change. I'm fairly certain the power supply is plugged in properly and on, I've tried every possible configuration for the ram sticks all resulting in the same 3 beeps, BIOS is v P1.10 and I do not have any other ram or CPU to check with

The model number of my ram is TDGED416G200HC14DC01, which I do not see listed on the Memory QVL table, but the faster variants are listed in there, so why would this speed not be listed or is it incompatible, if so why?
