Hi,

I am thing about an X370 pro gaming board with a Samsung M.2 1TB card.  Will either the PRO or EVO work with this board?

I'm assuming you mean the Samsung 960 Pro and 960 EVO, or do you mean to include the Samsung EVO SATA M.2 SSDs as well?

All ASRock AM4 boards with M.2 slots that support NMVe SSDs, such as the X370 Professional Gaming's two M.2 slots, will support both the Samsung 960 Pro and EVO.

But as with any mother board, you must check the specifications of the M.2 slots to be certain they provide the full PCIe 3.0 x4 interface to an NVMe SSD that requires it for full performance, as the 960 Pro and EVO do. Both M.2 slots on this board don't meet that specification.

Thanks for the reply. You are correct re the capabilities of these M.2 slots with this board. One is rated to the 3 4 specs but the other is only rated to 2 4. Clearly indicated in their specs.
