Hello, I have recently done a majour overhaul off my pc with a complete hardware upgrade,ab350 pro4 mobo, ryzen 1600 cpu, 16gb ram, gtx 1070 and an intel 550s SSD (for OS)
Since putting everything together and trying to install win10 Iran into a problem, SSD is not listed. Researching I fount I put the SSD in the wrong slot, having moved it to the correct sata 3 m.2 slot i thought I would habe no issues, but I cannot get the drive to show up in the BIOS/UEFI or in windows. Took the SSD to a mates place to test it make sure it wasn't a dud and it worked fine. Anyone have any suggestions? Edit: sata 3 is not in use Edited by Blue028 - 23 Jul 2017 at 10:14pm |

This is driving me mental, so far I have tried;
-resetting UEFI to default settings -disabling CSM -Enabling CSM storage OpROM UEFI only -disconect all sata cables -clear CMOS -checked SSD correctly installed (quadruple checked) -updated BIOS to 3.0 I am having no luck whatsoever, is it a bad board? Or am I missing something? |

First, you are using an Intel 540s M.2 SATA SSD? Your first post has Intel 550s, which does not exist.
You are now using the M2_2 slot for the 540s, and you do NOT have a drive connected to the Intel SATA3_3 port, which shares resources with the M2_2 slot? So you don't see the SSD listed in the Storage Configuration screen, or in the Boot order? For a SATA M.2 SSD, you don't need to configure the CSM or CSM sub-options from their default settings, although doing so should not make any difference. When you do change those settings, you must save and exit the UEFI before they will be applied. If your 540s was recognized in another board, and continues to not be in your ASRock board, then it is possible your board is the problem. |

Yes 540s sorry for the typo, it is connected to the m.2_2 slot with nothing connected to the sata3_3 port. The ssd is not showing up anywhere at all |
