I have a weird issue with my Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming MOBO. If I install my RX580 graphics card my M.2 is not detected in PCIE2.
The SSD is an EVO 960Evo and the Graphics card is a Gigabyte RX580 Gaming 8G If I install a Nvidia gtx730 into PCIE2 the M.2 is detected. I have the 3.0 MOBO software. Help! |

Assuming the Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4, not the ITX/ac model. So you have an M.2 to PCIe adapter card with an M.2 SSD, correct? You are not using any of the M.2 slot, correct? When you say the 960 EVO is not detected, I assume that is your OS drive, and it is not listed in the boot order? With the RX580 in the board, PC shutdown and removed from power, try clearing the BIOS/CMOS with the jumper on the board. You may want to save your UEFI/BIOS settings in a profile before you clear it, since you will lose all your settings after the clear. |

I tried the CMOS reset and that resulted in the RX580 flashing in and out briefly at the BIOS and then staying black after that. When I take it out and put the Invidi 730 back in everything works again.
According to the manual the Ultra m.2 slot and PCIE4 are linked together, which I am using PCIE2 which should work and does with the Invidi card. Not sure what is going on, I emailed ASrock support and they said they will get back to me. |

Pcie4 is the 2nd graphics card slot. Ull find the pcie labelling on pg 24 of your manual. Put the 580 in what the manual calls pcie2 or the metal video card slot and you should be good.

Unfortunately I am using PCIE2 the metal video card slot and that's where it does not work with the 960 EVO in the Ultra m.2 slot.
I am starting to believe I have a faulty motherboard. |

Yes. The RX580 has LEDs on the front of the card that light up. In the BIOS it did flash on for a second. If I run an OS off of my Sata drive the video card works.

I since decided to take the 960 EVO out and place the 580 back in and boot to see what happened. Within the BIOS menu the screen blinks in and out. I am now thinking I received a bad 580... I bought it on the 11th. I don't have another computer to test it in so I requested an RMA for the card. Will update.
