Building a new computer with no previous OS and all new parts.
The speaker connected to the Motherboard sounds 5 long beeps and does not have a VGA card.
Also, I have reinstalled the CPU (ryzen 1200) to verify it was in place correctly and no pins were bent, along with the RAM. Both the CPU power connector (12v ATX) and the 24 pin power connecter are in place.

Why cannot output via onboard display??

Dear jazzantz,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

Regarding this case, we would like to provide some information for you.

If using Summit Ridge "Ryzen series" CPU on your system, it doesn't contain integrated VGA, so you are not able to use onboard display like VGA, HDMI.
This is hardware specification of AM4 CPU.
Therefore, you have to install a discrete VGA card for using.

On the other hand, the Bristol Ridge "A-series" CPUs contain integrated VGA.
If you would like to use onboard display, please install this kind of CPU for your system.

Thanks!

All the best,
ASRock TSD

Ryzen processors don't have an iGPU.

You need a dedicated graphics card with Ryzen.

"A series" Bristol Ridge APU's have iGPU's.

Wardog and ASRock_TSD already covered it.

Some AM4 boards have display outputs, this is to support "A-Series" APUs not because there is onboard graphics. AMD did away with FM2+ and AM3+ in favor of a single socket/platform (AM4). This means all new CPU lineups, both with and without iGPU, will be supported on the same socket. We see this confusion a lot. I wish retailers would include a disclaimer:

"integrated video outputs only supported on A-Series APUs!"

The info is there on all the AM4 product pages on the ASRock website but let's face it, how many users actually bother checking the manufacturer website before purchase?
