Where is the new bios for this board with default JEDEC 2666MHz support FFS!!!!

Taichi X370 has it in bios 3.20!

X370 fatality Gaming K4 has it in bios 3.30!

Yet the X370 Fat Pro Gaming is till on bios 3.10 with no JEDEC 2666MHz support for default....why are Asrock so slow to update the bios on this board when it should be their flagship board for AM4 platform....well they certainly charge the premium for it that should indicate it as being the flagship product.

You would think with a high end board that bios updates would be priority..

It's pretty sad when a $90 msi b350 board will run 3200mhz out of the box with axmp and it run fine from the first boot, but a $250 x370 professional gamer will barely run 3000mhz memory..
Asrock x570 Taichi, Ryzen3800x, 32gb Gskill Royal 36000mhz@ 3733mhz, Samsung 250gb 970evo plus for OS drive, Sabrent Rocket 1tb nvme storage drive.

JEDEC probably doesn't/won't Default to 2666. JEDEC is there to guarantee(loosely with AM4, sigh) that the sticks will boot at a lower speed to, again, guarantee it will boot.

Whether it boots at 2133(current JEDEC Defaul AFAIK) or 2666, one still would need to dink with an set XMP if it boots/works.

The BIOS for your MB is current with the others, AGESA 1.0.0.6b. BIOS revisions do not run neck and neck # wise with other boards.

Are you saying your BIOS, 3.10(latest), doesn't have a 2666 selection you can make manually?

Of course you can manually select 2666MHz ram, point is with current 3.10 bios default JEDEC is 2100MHz, same as with the 3.10 bios for the Taichi. Taichi has since seen a bios update to 3.20 which changes the default JEDEC to 2666MHz so why hasn't the Fat Pro Gaming had the same update?????????????????????FFS!!!!

You mean like the OP runs his FlareX memory at 3333? Did you see his signature?

Or are you complaining about your own memory?

Your example of the MSI board, does that run your memory at 3200 out of the box? Otherwise, what memory does it run at 3200?

So you believe that any DDR4 memory in existence will be perfectly Ryzen compatible?

What does "barely run 3000mhz memory" mean?

What would a UEFI update that will not downclock DDR4 memory whose stock/JEDEC speed is 2666 to 2400 do for you?

lol, My $119 msi b350 gaming pro carbon booted up first try with gskill ripjawsV 3200mhz with axmp profile2.  My $250 asrock wont even attempt to boot with it.. I 've orded the $180 flare-x kit :(

Hope the flare-x works, i've read good things about it, people also getting 3466 and 3600mhz out of it..  I just want it to boot and be stable at the rated 3200mhz.

It's pretty sad when a $100 ($119 to be exact) msi b350 board will run the 3200mhz memory out of the box with axmp and it run fine from the first boot, but a $250 x370 professional gamer will barely run 3000mhz memory..

I could care less actually.. I'm wondering why one memory kit will work in two other much less expensive am4 boards but not in this (the most expensive) expensive premium Asrock board..

I'm complaining about this $250 asrock board of mine and its bios updates and memory compatibility issues that cheaper motherboard manufacturers have already resolved.  The most expensive am4 board on the market and it has the less memory compatibility than boards costing less than half..

That inexpensive msi board runs that gskill 3200mhz 16-16-16-36 like its meant to run, and it did it with a simple axmp option and it ran rock solid..

Likely not all of it.. But when you can run the 3200mhz memory in two other much less expensive boards just fine, you would think a motherboard manufacturer charging $200-$250 for a motherboard could run comparable memory that isnt "amd specific" premium priced memory.. It seems like laziness to me..

Having to mess with voltage settings to get it to cold boot..

Well it didnt matter at all with my 16gb kit of gskill ripjawsV 3200mhz 16-16-16-36 memory as it would not boot at all, period, even with the other jedec speeds..  To add, The memory is fine as i used it in two other amd am4 b350 and x370 boards..  I ordered the amd specific flare-x which is completely stupid to me, as I had to order it because Asrock is being lazy with memory compatibility issues on these top end boards.. Asrock even says specifically on the x370 professional gaming web page, and I quote "Supports DDR4 3200+(OC)"  It should read  "supports some ddr4 3200+(oc)" get my drift...

Thank you. Have a nice evening..

adding this in... The issue I have is, I paid $140 for this gskill 3200mhz 16-16-16-36 memory before the prices went up, now I find it odd I have to buy more expensive memory at $180 now for it to work in this most expensive on the market ($250) Asrock x370 board when that same memory would run perfectly fine in a $119 msi b350 board..    I just think Asrock is being lazy with the memory compatibility, is Asrock contracting that bios coding out?

lowdog, Consider yourself Warned.

If you can contribute something useful, please refrain.

If this JEDEC 2666 Default Booting issue you have bothers you THAT much, please Report it to the proper people: https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp
